Fashion week begins in New York tomorrow and we can't wait to follow the trends, not just to update our closets, but for the styles and colors that are revealed on the runway. As always we'll learn a thing or two about what's in. Is orange really the new go-to color in fashion as Pantone suggests in Interior Design? Are there more curves, more details, more pattern on todays catwalks? Are dresses back? Does Hollywood play a hand in what's hot? Is navy the new black? Some fashion notes we have overheard: "Navy is likely to replace black on the catwalk when New York Fashion Week starts on Thursday, with experts expecting rich fabrics, waist-defining jackets and some 1920s-inspired styles sparked by movies like The Artist." says Michelle Nichols reporting from Reuters. Dresses will prevail over separates as the United States emerges from the recession. "Dresses perform very well. Women love a dress," said Ken Downing, fashion director of Neiman Marcus. "It's such an easy way to look amazing. It's effortlessly chic ... it goes from coffee to cocktails."
