Designer Lindsay MacRae has quietly been accumulating quite a lot of oomph over the past few years. She has effortlessly dotted some of our favorite styles throughout projects all over the tri-state area. With a recent editorial in New York Cottages & Gardens, we re-discovered some of her amazing work!

In 2013, she started her own firm after many years under the tutelage of renowned architects and design firms such as Robert A.M. Stern, Marc-Michaels Interior Design, and Gensler. There she honed in on her craft, attention to details, and the value of beautifully made furniture, lighting and upholstery.

Lindsay’s love of bright colors and happy patterns are apparent in nearly every space she designs.  Traditional but always fresh, Lindsay’s interiors are characterized by a combination of both new and old furnishings.  Often incorporating family-friendly finishes, no room is too precious to be lived in and enjoyed.  Complete with light-hearted art and accessories, Lindsay describes her designs as “terminally delightful”.

For us, Lindsay is the perfect client. She is not afraid to add color, commission beautiful upholstery for a child's bedroom, and knows the value of GREAT lighting.

Fun Fact:

Prior to starting her design career, Lindsay worked as a performer for the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, FL.

Life recently brought her back to Florida, where she continues her vibrant design work. We can't wait to see what she creates down there!
